Two-year old Mamava is growing in leaps and bounds as the company continues to expand its customer base to include airports, stadiums, zoos, convention centers and school districts. Mamava’s breast-feeding and breast-pumping “pods” can be found in 21 states throughout the U.S. With over 80 pods in service, the company expects that number to reach more than 300 in the next year. As one of 10 finalists chosen by the U.S. Small Business Administration 2016 InnovateHER: Innovating for Women Business Challenge, Mamava’s co-founder, Sascha Mayer, will make a pitch in D.C. later this month, competing for a share of $70,000 in prize money.
