Lee E. Bouyea

General Partner & Managing Director

Lee Bouyea is General Partner and Managing Director at FreshTracks Capital, focusing his efforts on software and technology investments for the firm. He joined the team in 2005 during the investing life of FreshTracks’ first fund.  Bouyea’s professional background includes marketing, product and business development expertise working for eBay, Nextel Communications, Pacific Marketing Associates and Bouyea-Fassetts Bakery.  Lee was also an early employee at the venture-backed startup Ebates, which was acquired by Tokyo-based Rakuten for $1Bn in 2014.

Lee is currently the lead partner for FreshTracks portfolio companies: Benchmark Space Systems, Resonant Link, Resonant Link Medical, IXIS, Quorum, TAHO, Aprexis, Triex (DBA Filabot & Massive Dimension), AskFora & Defendify. Previously, Bouyea was lead partner or Board Director at FreshTracks portfolio companies Datablend (acq. by eOne Solutions), NEHP (acq. by SIPH), Social Sentinel (acq. by Navigate360), ImageRelay (acq. by Canto) and Sports Innovation Lab (acq. by Genius Sports (NYSE: GENI)).

Bouyea serves on the Board of the makerspace the Generator, and is an Advisor to LaunchVT. He formerly served on the Boards of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce (LCRCC), Burlington City Arts, Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund (VSJF) Burlington Discover Jazz Festival and the Vermont Technology Council. Lee holds a B.A. in Economics from Colgate University and an M.B.A from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
