SunCommon is partnering with New York clean energy company Sustainable Energy Development (SED) with a community solar program that will benefit customers of Rochester Gas & Electric. The partnership will build two community solar projects this year, plans an expansion in 2017, and anticipates several projects in other areas of western New York. “This is the first community solar offering in the region, and we’re very excited to be able to partner with an amazing company like SunCommon,” says Kevin Schulte, CEO of SED. James Moore, co-president of SunCommon, adds, “The community solar model has done remarkable things for energy users in Vermont, and we’re so excited to partner with SED to bring community solar to communities throughout Western New York.”Read the coverage here: Partners Launch Community Solar Program in Western New York.
