Solais Lighting, Inc., the leading manufacturer of specification-grade, high-output LED lamps, hosted a burial ceremony for an incandescent lamp at its headquarters yesterday in the gloomy rain, symbolizing the death of dated incandescent technology.

Following the burial, the team - along with newly appointed chief technology officer, Steve Johnson, Ph.D - gathered in the lobby to screw in a new LR38 LED lamp, symbolizing the birth and growth of LED technology. Ironically, the sun made an appearance as the team completed the lobby ceremony. It was a symbolic day for the team, for the company, for the environment and for the environmentally friendly products that Solais manufactures.

Solais believes that its products will significantly contribute to the climate initiative that Earth Day promotes.
