In a state that by some measures ranks 43rd in venture capital investing, the new Middlebury-based FreshTracks Capital Limited Partnership hopes to make a significant difference in keeping good ideas in Vermont and helping home-grown businesses expand. One reason these investors trust FreshTracks' future is that two highly experienced Champlain Valley investment experts are at the helm. As Middlebury College president John McCardell put it, "With the energy and talent that Charlie (Kireker) and Cairn (Cross) bring to their work, this Fund is good news for our region".
